What do mean by ‘amnesty’? Well, at certain times we make copies of programs for BACKUP purposes, which is of course perfectly legal and is in fact, encouraged.
There are other times when we do it “just for one of my friends but nobody else.” Even though under the best intentions, any unauthorized duplication of this program once it has already been ‘registered’ is illegal. This is software piracy, and such acts cost software corporations significant losses in revenue. We cannot pretend that piracy does not occur, nor do we exercise our right to convict every such felon.
Circumflex Software adopts a position of total amnesty.
That is, should “a friend” give you a copy of this program, and it is already a registered copy, we ask that you do the responsible thing and register it for yourself.
No questions will be asked when you submit your fee. We will reward your efforts by giving you the same benefits as every other registered user : version update notices, and upgrades for as low as $5 if done via eMail, or $10 if you require a diskette.
The registration fee is only $20.00 per Macintosh on which you wish it to run (checks drawn against U.S. banks in U.S. funds only, or your VISA/Mastercard.)
For this small fee you also get the 120 page color manual (also on disk.)
